Introduction

The most classic example of a sky is that of the classic white clouds on a light blue background, but if you have seen a sunset or a sunrise or a sky before the rain you will have realized that there are many variables.

Here we can see how the white clouds contain a certain hue, that is, it is not totally white.

Despite being a white cloud on a blue background, these other clouds are very different from the previous ones.

We obtain very different skies by varying the general palette and the shape and arrangement of the clouds.

Different colors.

Naturally a sky, even the blue and white sky, has an enormous amount of hues

 

For sky painting, we are usually only going to use two or three colors, a main color, one for color gradient and a very light tone for the luminosity.

 

Although some colors are repeated such as blue, purple, different yellows and reds, there is no list of specific colors, you will have to use observation to find the colors that work for you.

Rapid cloud building

In the video you will see step by step how to build a sky with a few layers.

We can begin to paint the clouds with colored plates and gradients.

Later we melt these colors and paint over them with a brush.
