How to use the Navigator Palette
In this lesson, we will introduce the [Sub View] palette, which is useful for grasping the entire canvas.
This is exceptionally useful when using a big canvas!
[Navigator] Palette
The [Navigator] palette controls how the canvas is displayed.
For example, you can zoom in and out of the canvas, rotate the angle, and even flip the canvas.
Image Preview
The area where the canvas image of the [Navigator] palette is displayed is called [Image Preview].
The red frame within the [Image Preview] shows the area displayed on the canvas window.
Dragging the red frame will scroll the canvas window display accordingly.
It is the same operation as the [Hand] tool or dragging while holding the [Space] key.
Clicking a point outside of the red frame will move the display area of the canvas instantly.
The entire canvas is always displayed on the [Navigator] palette.
Increasing the [Navigator] palette size will enlarge the image displayed in [Image Preview] accordingly.
In the [Image Preview], Crop marks/Base Lines, Grids, Rulers and Selection Borders will not be displayed.
In Ver. 2.2 or later, if you set a color profile preview in the View menu > Color profile > Preview, the color profile is also applied to the Image Preview, and the preview and canvas colors will match.
In Ver. 2.1 or earlier, the color profile will not be applied in Image Preview even if you have set the color profile preview.
