How to Set Up 3D Characters (Without Bones)
In Clip Studio Modeler, you can import boneless 3D models from other software and configure them as 3D characters for use in Clip Studio Paint.

How to Set Up 3D Characters

[1] Prepare the data
Clip Studio Modeler can read common 3D files.
[2] Import a 3D file
■ You can adjust rotation and size after loading the 3D file.
→ Edit and set up textures (optional)
→ Create and register a pose (optional)
[3] Set up material information
Choose the material name and thumbnail that will be shown when registering the created 3D character in the [Material] palette.
[4] Add standard bones to a model without bones
You can add standard bones to 3D characters without bones.
[5] Save your work
You can save your 3D character in three ways: as project data (extension: .csmc), in a format that can be imported to CLIP STUDIO applications (extension: .cs3c), or register it to the material palette.
