Updating materials published in ASSETS

This article explains how to update search materials released to Clip Studio ASSETS.

There are three ways to update a material:

 

· Change the material’s information

· Replace the material’s data via update

· Add a material to the material catalog

Update material information

In Clip Studio ASSETS, material information can be updated after temporarily uploading and publishing materials.

 

 

 

■ 1. Selecting the material

 

Go to Clip Studio ASSETS and select [MyUpload] from the menu.

 

Then, click on the [Operation] drop-down menu of the material that you wish to update, and click [Edit].

 

Note:

If you are viewing [MyUpload] from a web browser, select [Edit with Clip Studio].

 

 

 

■ 2. Setting material information

 

From the display the screen setting for editing Clip Studio material information you can update the following material information categories:

· Title

· Thumbnail

· Introduction

· Explanation/Examples of use

· Change display order of materials (material catalog only)

· Change category name (material catalog only)

 

If you want the revised content to reflect that of the material, click [Proceed to set content information].

 

Note:

If you do not want the revised content to immediately reflect that of the material, you can save its information by clicking [Save temporarily].

 

 

 

■ 3. Setting the publishing information

 

From the display publishing information setting screen you can update the following categories:

· Usable Software

· Rating

 

When you are done editing the publishing information, click [Update].

This updates the material on Clip Studio ASSETS.It also simultaneously updates the temporarily uploaded material.

 

Replacing material data via update

You can update materials released to Clip Studio ASSETS by replacing it with new data. When updating the material, the following information will be imported.

 

· Number of downloads

· Number of likes Number

· Purchase/Acquirer History ※

・Stored Clippy tokens

 

※ If you import user "Purchase/Acquirer History” from previously downloaded materials, you will be notified if they are updated and you can then re-download for free.

 

 

 

■1. Temporarily uploading of a new material

 

Temporarily upload new material for use in an update.

 

· For single materials

The procedure is the same as when publishing a new material. For procedures about temporarily uploading, please refer to the following article.

· For material catalogs

Materials included in a material catalog cannot be updated individually and need to be rebuilt and temporarily reuploaded.

Note:

Any material information from before the update (thumbnails, explanations, examples of use, etc.) will not be carried over.

When temporarily uploading the material for replacement, you need to re-create the thumbnails, explanations, and example of use.

For paid materials, Clippy token prices will not be carried over. If you want to temporarily upload replacement materials or material catalogs, please reset the Clippy token price.

 

 

 

■2. Selecting the material you wish to update

 

Go to Clip Studio ASSETS and select [MyUpload] from the menu.

 

From [MyUpload], click on the [Operation] drop-down menu of the material or material catalog that you wish to update, and click [Update].

 

 

 

■3. Selecting a new material or material catalog

 

From the material update screen, click the [Select] button of the material you wish to replace.

 

Note:

When updating a material catalog, please be sure to click the [Select] button for the material catalog. If you only select a single material, it will be updated as a single material.

 

A confirmation screen will appear. If there are no issues, click [Execute Post]. Clip Studio ASSETS will now reflect the new materials and material catalog.

 

Note:

When publishing new materials and material catalogs, the materials prior to updating are treated as follows.

· They will be removed from Clip Studio ASSETS search results, but will not be deleted.

· They will be displayed as an old version on the material information screen after they are updated.

· Although they are displayed in [MyUpload], you cannot edit their information.

· Users who purchase/acquire materials can re-download previous versions of materials from [MyDownloads].

 

Add a material to the material catalog

You can add materials to a published material catalog in Clip Studio ASSETS and then republish it.

If you only wish to add a material, you do not need to recreate a material catalog from scratch like when replacing/updating a material.

 

 

 

■1. Selecting a material to add

 

From the tree view, select the folder that contains the material you wish to add to the material catalog.

Drag and drop it to the material catalog from the material catalog list.

 

 

 

■2. Adjusting the added material settings

You can change the display order and categories for each newly added material.

Click material catalog title from the material catalog list, then click [Manage] > [To material catalog information] > [Edit/Upload].

 

The newly added material will appear in [Category 1]. You can change the display order and the category with the buttons located under the thumbnail image.

■3. Publishing a material catalog

 

Click [Proceed to set content information], then click [Update] on the publishing settings screen.

When the publishing completion screen displays, the update will then be reflected in both the temporarily uploaded material catalog and the material catalog in Clip Studio ASSETS.
