As with my previous tips, clip studio paint allows us to approach a traditional digital style, the last post was on watercolor, today we will be interested in the technique of color pencil! (✌ ︎'ω ') ✌ ︎

1. WHAT PENCIL TO CHOOSE? (¯ ^ ¯) ゞ

For the line, I first used the "drawing pencil" tool, set like this:

Then to color the drawing, I logically used the tool "colored pencil" set like this:

2. THE DRAWING OF THE DRAWING (1˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Now that we have seen what pencils to use for this imitation color pencil drawing, we will see together the complete realization of this magnificent work of art! (((O ( ゚ ▽ ゚ ) o)))

A. The draft

So I first realized a little draft, which I changed the color, and slightly lowered the opacity to draw my line over.

Just go to this tab, and choose the option visible in the photo

We can thus select the color of our choice:

B. The line

Once my draft is ready, I'll draw my line cleanly (¯∇¯)

So I equip myself with the outi: "drawing pencil" and I start my line, in a different color of my draft (LOGIC I will tell you, I know I know, but good (· ∀ ·))

C. The paper

To color and thus imitate the effect of the colored pencil, I first put a drawing sheet underneath, exactly the same way as for the tips on the watercolor (^^^^)

The object: "paper" that I used as support for my drawing is in this tab, and it is set this way. I dyed it yellow, to suit the image and the very colorful pop atmosphere that I wanted for this drawing. Because for me the crayons are very colorful, so I wanted my drawing to be the image of these colors 9 ('ω') و

D. Coloring

Now that the delicate test of the line and the paper is done, we will go to the colorization of the drawing, like colored pencil!

I only used the tool "colored pencil" presented at the beginning of this tip, the adjustment of the size of the pencil depends on drawing I think, and the desires of the artist, so the size of the tool does not really matter, but if ever the one I used interests you, it is at the very top, with the presentation of the pencils (° ▽ °)

I tried to imitate the same movements that I make myself when I color with crayons, as shown below:

So I color the drawing, starting with the skin, then the rest.

As for skins, I only made shadows, to give it a very light and rosy complexion (1> ◡ <1)

And in the order of the photos, I colored the rest of the drawing:

 

E. Finishes

To finish this beautiful drawing (yes my ego is very good thank you (¯ ▽ ¯)), I just make simple finishes:

So I added a kind of dashed frame around the character, and wrote "POP" with colors very cheerful to just give that impression of very bright color!

F. Result
