Hi, I'm Francis again.

In this tutorial I would like to explain and introduce you to my basic character creation process in an easy and simple way to get a

Great result, or for those who want to improve their character.

This time the final character is for combat, with that in mind let's get started.

What is a combat character?

First of all, the question we are all asking ourselves is:

"What is a combat character?"

A combat character is simply any character, who fights against some enemy or problem (psychological combat).

What is a character then?

It is a representation of an idea, or concept that is born from our imagination, then we will describe its personality.

Describe character's personality

The most important part of the character will be his personality, this is because depending on the personality, the combat style changes dramatically.

Next I will describe the character that I will create with you right now:

Eye color : Yellow.

Hair color : Red.

Now that we know almost nothing about our character, it's time to make an introduction:

As a new student at the yakarte academy and a part-time magician, C.A.S is very enthusiastic about knowledge, (especially the forbidden).

Ok, now that we know C.A.S a little better, let's continue with the selection of his weapons.

Weapon Selection

As previously mentioned, C.A.S is good at handling swords, however he seems to have some talent for magic.

With that in mind, select a katana as your primary weapon and magic gems as your secondary artifacts.

Now comes the most difficult part, drawing our character, the truth is I was thinking about it a lot, and I decided to make an image with different types of heads, to make it easier.

There are Heads with the letter (F) for feminine and heads with the letter (M) for masculine, feel free to choose any of the 2.

Easy Procedure

We open Clip studio and create a file as in the image

Now we drag the image to the canvas

now we create a new vector layer

We will use the pen (G)

The next thing after having chosen a head is ;

1) draw the eyes (you will notice there is a guide where they should go)

2) each head has a line cutting the maximum range of hair. (you can ignore the lines to draw longer hair).

6) If you couldn't with point 1, just copy the eyes from example 3 or 4, for the hair you just have to find one that you like and copy it, the trick is to place more and more lines.

The left: red color

1) The easiest way to make hair is with the previous example, now we will use a bent line to give it detail.

Before (as you can see, it doesn't have many details)

Once we have finished the head, the next thing is to clean the sketch, in this case I will use the first character I draw

We create a new vector layer, lower the opacity to 45% and draw with the pen (Maru)

Now I will add some color (in a raster layer) to be more faithful to the description.

How to make a cool pose easily

Next we will use the 3D clip studio dolls for the pose

we will touch that arrow to open the materials menu

Now we will touch any of the 2 buttons

and we will drag a model to the canvas

and now we will see the model on the canvas

Now we will touch the model, until we have the desired pose

Now we will create a layer of vectors, to draw above the doll

i chose this pose because the character can hold a katana in one hand and cast magic from the other

Once the sketch is ready, we will create a new vector layer to clean the stroke, with the pen (maru)

We will change the color of the sketch by touching here

next we will improve the anatomy, I recommend looking for a reference image

now we will hide the layer of the 3D doll and see the improvements

Now we will change the color of the layers to add the clothes and accessories

now we will delete the sketch

We remove unnecessary muscles

we're almost done

a vector layer is then created, to clean up the stroke

details were added, and the character's path was cleaned

conclusion

Now we will create a raster layer to paint it in a basic way

On the new layer, we will select everything with the magic wand

we will invert the selection

and we will paint black touching the paint pot

we will lower the opacity of the layer to 36%

now we will create another raster layer, and with (the paint bucket) we will use another color, (black, gray, white, light gray, dark gray)

We will create another raster layer and paint the background in a striking color
