INTRODUCTION

Hi guys, it is Daniel's original art (DOA) here,I am going to be illustrating on how to draw some different kinds of flowers that is out and rose flowers with a 2d character with an already made flowers brush,Also how to color. I will start from simple to complex,so follow me as we take this journey as I will be placing them in steps,one after the other and by the end of this tutorial,I'm sure you are going to get the logic on drawing of flowers of different kinds.

 

THE TYPES OF FLOWERS.

First,the different kinds of flowers such as

Lotus,rose,sun flower and so many more but for now I will be illustrating how to draw this three. With this, you can be able to use this method to apply in the other different flowers out there, so let get started.

STEP 1: DRAWING OF LOTUS FLOWER,

First,start by creating the canvas of your choice[As for the resolution I most time put in 144 for any width and height ],also create a white blank paper layer and three transparent layer[namely segmentation,rough sketch and lineart].

And now, on the segmentation layer draw a horizontal, vertical and multiply sigh line

After that move to the next layer which is the rough sketch layer and bring out the shape of the lotus flower but don't be worried about how it look in this stage it doesn't matter how the it looks,we just want to roughly bring out the shape of the lotus flower.

 

Front view ,

Right side view,

Also,you can either change the color of the rough sketch or reduce the opacity [45%]

Next the lineart,In this part we are to trace out the lotus flower shape that we drew on the rough sketch layer.

And that is how to draw lotus.

 

STEP 2: DRAWING ROSE FLOWER,

Start by segmentation but in this one you just draw a straight line and cross.

Now,you draw a rough sketch the of the rose flower

Next,the lineart

STEP 3: DRAWING THE SUN FLOWER,

Following the previous pattern,

Segmentation similar to that of lotus flower

Now,the lineart

 

Different positions,

DRAWING OF ROSE FLOWER WITH 2D CHARACTER

Start by creating a blank paper layer and some transparent layers [namely rough sketch,base color,shading,editing,highlighting and finishing touch].

On the first layer on top of the blank paper,I do my rough sketch and I add my segmentation into this layer to make my work fast and easy

 

Following that,I draw the lineart of the shape I roughed

 

Following that,I draw the lineart of the drawn rough sketch

 

After that the base color

 

Following that I add the shadows by shading using multiply

 

And added a background [I made use of circle because it a shape use by artist for a long time]

 

Next editing,I add the shadows of flowers and adding falling flower into the background with an already made flower brush

 

Following that,I add the rose flower using an already made flower brush

 

Adding shadows to the rose flower using multiply

Next,I highlighted by adding glow

 

And I finish my work by doing my final touches to my art piece.
