The Information palette added to Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.1.0 allows you to display information such as the workload of the system memory, coordinates, and work time.

Information Palette Details

1.) System

This is the memory workload for the whole system. It is the ratio of the amount of memory used by all applications versus the amount of memory on the device currently in use.

As this value approaches 100%, performance deteriorates, resulting in slower operation. Closing any other running applications may reduce the load factor and improve performance.

2.) Application

This is the memory workload for Clip Studio Paint. It shows the percentage of memory that Clip Studio Paint is currently using out of the amount of memory that Clip Studio Paint can use.

As this value approaches 100%, performance deteriorates, resulting in slower operation. Closing unnecessary canvases or, for PRO and EX, running Edit menu > Clear Memory may improve performance.

For Windows, macOS, iPad, and iPhone, increasing the value of Allocate to application in Preferences dialog > Performance will increase the amount of memory that Clip Studio Paint can use, which may result in smoother operation.

Note: Excessive use of memory may cause the system to halt applications or make the entire device unstable.

3.) Coordinate information

This displays the position of the cursor on the canvas as X/Y coordinates.

4.) Length information

This shows the horizontal (H), vertical (V), and lateral (L) when drawing a figure such as a rectangle or a circle, or when creating a selection.

Work time (Ver.2.1.0 and up)

This shows the work time for the canvas. Work time can be saved to a .clip file. Any time spent with Clip Studio Paint in the background, operating other canvases, or without any operation will pause the work time.

Note: Work time is not supported for works created before Ver. 2.1 and will not have their work time recorded.

Work Time Settings

You can toggle the display of work time from the menu in the Information palette.

You can also see your work time by setting Manage works in Clip Studio to List view.

Projects created before Ver. 2.1.0 will not display work time.

When a project is edited and saved using the cloud, it will show as Update available.

You can also sort projects by work time duration.

Even if a project shows as Update available, the sorting is based on the time displayed.
