In this tutorial, we will show you how to create various forms of HandLettering from one subject using the tools of Clip Studio Paint.

1. Preparation

Example: Canvas size: 1000 x 800 px, 350 dpi

 

Display a grid (grid line).

 

 

First of all, let's think about a line to be a guide.

Check "Display (V)-> Grid (G)".

 

Then a grid line like this will be displayed.

2. Write letters

Let's draw the letters according to the grid!

Tool used: chalk brush

This is the default brush that comes in the Krista from the beginning.

[Tool] Pastel → [Sub Tool] It is classified into chalk.

 

It is a brush that can express the warmth of the hand drawing.

3. Mesh deformation

Use the functions from [Edit (E)] to [Deform (A)] → [Deform Mesh (M)].

A frame that allows such grid-like deformation and adjustment is displayed.

The number of frames can be changed from the number of grid points in [Tool Properties].

4. Decoration

Once you have many shapes, let's decorate the finish.

I tried to add color.

Let's decorate the gaps between the letters with flowers and polka dots!
