Hey guys!

I'm back with another tutorial, this time I wanted to draw and design tribal houses with a lot of details and the Perspective tool in clip studio is the best tool for this kind of stuff.

Reference

I started looking for an interesting village like houses/buildings on pinterest, I gathered a lot of reference on about these weird and interesting looking houses from a village called Dogón located in Sangha.

I wanted to design houses following that idea, In this case I did a Bakery and a Fisherman's house.

Some people say that to be original you just need to combine 2 unrelated things and that's what I did...

I started Sketching

Here are some sketches

I decided to develop those 2 ideas further, but first I needed to find more references for how a bakery looks like. it was the same case with the fisherman's house.

Perspective Tool

Using the perspective tool I decided to create some guides for the houses

Here is how the guides looks like on top of the sketch.

Be Efficient.

First thing first... I love efficiency and I try to have a shortcut for everything so I made a shortcut to toggle the "snap to special ruler" option so I could press the "1" key and snap all my lines to the perspective and press the "1" key again to draw freely, I alternated between those a lot in the making of these houses.

Final Results

I got to this point by inking and refining the design as I was "inking"using the perspective tool saved me a lot of time!!!

Here are the perspective rules of the second house

Bonus Advice

Use Sketchfab.com to find complicated references. I wanted to add the skeleton of a lizard and I used sketchfab to find 3D models that I could rotate on my browser to see different angles and stuff

Final words

Thanks for reading my tip of the month! I hope it was useful to you.
