There are a number of ways you can optimize your line art, especially for manga artist that deals more with line work.

In this tutorial I will give some steps that I used to illustrate a building illustration from scratch to finish.

Step 1

Firstly, start with a simple line art or sketch, personally prefer going straight to line art since I have the clear idea of what am doing.

After your line work you can start defining your line by varying their thickness and sometimes its opacity.

Step 2

Add little details to your line. In my case, I added windows using a special brush that hasten my process.

If you notice, I changed the paper color to grey. Just know that this is completely optional and not compulsory.

Step 3

Start adding more details, I used the inbuilt crosshatcheting brush in clip studio to add details to the building.

Keep optimizing your work by putting half tones, few shading, lighting and so in to get your best out of the illustration.
