Creating a multi-page work (EX)

Clip Studio Paint EX has a Story feature that allows you to manage works composed of multiple pages as a single file.

It is convenient when creating manga and comic manuscripts for printing, as well as illustration collections or manga for web publication.

For multi-page works, select either Webtoon, Comic, Printing of fanzine, or Show all comic settings from the New dialog, and then check Multiple Pages or Page Settings to create the file.

When creating a multi-page work, a management folder like the one shown below will be created in the designated save destination.

Inside the folder are Clip Studio Format (.clip) files for each page and the management files (.cmc) used to manage each page.

For more information on Story, such as creating multi-page works and swapping pages, please check this article.

For more information on creating Webtoons, please check this article.

Manage multiple pages of text with the story editor [EX]

Story Editor can manage the text of multiple page works, such as manga or comic dialogue, across pages.

You can load and organize text that you typed in a text editor like Notepad, and make bulk changes to the page allocation and font settings of the text.

The Story Editor can be accessed from the Story menu > Text Management > Open Story Editor.

For details on how to use the Story editor, please check this article.

Batch processing of a multi-page work

From the File menu in Clip Studio Paint, choose Batch Process to display its dialog box.

By configuring the Batch process dialog box, you can execute menu commands and auto actions in bulk for multiple pages and canvases.

For more information on Batch Process, please refer to the User Guide (https://help.clip-studio.com/en-us/manual_en/720_preferences/Batch_process.htm#1364673).

More details on Auto Action can be found here.
